Now that your website is in order, it’s time to turn our attention to a very powerful tool – YouTube videos.

Marketing Mobile Home & RV Parks with Videos Works

Videos can be intimidating at first, but let me tell you…

Video marketing flat out works.

I’ve created a lot of videos. Some flopped, some were average and some just continuously turn viewers into customers.

Plus, videos are currently a very effective way to leapfrog past the competition, especially if they are spending their money on something called “SEO” (Search Engine Optimization).

Why do videos work so well?

Well, for a lot of reasons, but three are very important.

Three Reasons Why You Should Strongly Consider Marketing Your Park with Videos

First, Google bought YouTube and like any company interested in promoting their best interest, Google loves to return video results when someone searches on Google.com.

Here’s an example from Google when I searched for “RV Park Marketing” today:

Now, let me explain what you see in this picture so it’s crystal clear.

The first two results are Pay Per Click (PPC) ads which you’ll learn about soon if you’ve already downloaded your free 7 Step RV Park Marketing Plan.

The top PPC ad is from a marketing company that has created individual websites targeting about 92 different industries (creating “niche” website for each industry is probably a pretty smart strategy).  Here’s some of the industries they specialize in:

The second PPC ad is one of mine.  I focus on marketing Mobile Home and RV parks since I grew up in the business and know how to manage, run and market parks.

Now, what you want to pay attention to is the first two “natural” search engine results (both of which are my videos).

Now, there is a decent amount of competition for RV park marketing, but mine are at the top.

Why?

Because, like I said earlier, Google loves videos.

The trick is knowing how to optimize your videos so Google can find them and want to put them on the first page.

Videos Are a Great Way to Build a Relationship (Before You Meet In Person)

Second, video is a very effective way to build a relationship with your future tenants. Even if you never appear on camera, they associate a voice with your park and that starts to build a positive relationship.

From psychology, we know that people like to do business with people the know, like and trust.

Video happens to be a great way to do all three.

As a result of spending a lot of time in marketing, advertising and copywriting workshops and seminars, I got to know a lot of the “gurus” and one thing they all say is that people walk up to them at the conference and act like they are already friends.

Why?

Because these gurus were smart enough to publish videos and videos create relationships.

Your Future Tenants Prefer to Watch Videos

Third, and perhaps most important, people prefer to watch videos. By 2014, iMediaConnection estimates 90% of the information sent over the Internet will be video.

If you’re not already using video to promote your park, to educate your future tenants, or to establish a relationship with the people who will pull into your park in the future, start now.

It just works.

I can’t go into all the details of how to make a video, or how to feel comfortable doing it…
Entire books and courses have been created just to do that (including a course I created and give to my clients as part of their Kickstarter package)…

But, do a little searching and you’ll learn the basics quickly.

Even basic videos are better than no videos, and if you have an iPhone or Android phone, you have a video camera in your pocket.

Now, although video might seem like a hurdle, it’s worth whatever it takes to start publishing videos for your park.
